Shania twain’s childhood was not full of happiness. She had to face lots of problem till she became popular. She was the second child to Sharon and Clarence Edwards, but they had divorce when she was only 2. After divorce she moved with her mother. In 1971, whe she was 6 years old, her mother married another person called Jerry Twain. Later Jerry adopted Shania and from there she got the name Eilleen Twain.

Shania twain’s parents had limited earning resource so she had to bury all her desires. But still her mother encouraged her singing talent which was going to open new doors for them in future. Shania started earning some money by singing in local bars and clubs. At the age of 13, she got the chance to sing in Tommy Hunter show on CBC. She also worked for a local band Longshot.

When Shania twain was doing a step by step progress for new and promising career, her life took a turn, she lost her parents in a care accident. At this time, she was only 22, she had to leave her job and move back to place where her sibling reside. There shania started supporting her family by performing in a resort.

In 1991, good days started for Shania twain. She got the chance of her first recording with Richard Frank. This was the time, when the future started showing some promising signals to Shania. At that time she changed her name to Shania twain, the name by which she is known all over the world currently.

In 1993 Shania got the chance to meet rock producer Robert mutt Lange. This professional relationship very soon turned into a romantic one and they got married in the same year. They both released the album “The Woman in Me” in 1995. It became a huge success in a very short time. Till now it has sold more than 12 million copies. In 1997 , she released another album “Come on Over”. This album broke all the record and became the highest selling album by a female artist, the best selling album by the country and 7th best selling album of the world.

In 1998, Shania twain started doing concert tours and she was applauded all the world. After she took a 2 year gap and came back with Up! In 2002. It sold around 1 million copy only in the first week. In 2004 she released “Greatedt Hits”.

In totality, Shania’s career is booming like crazy. Till now she has won many awards including 5 Grammy awards 40 BMI songwriter awards. She is the only female singer who has 3 album certified by Diamond.
